Stormy Weather ~~

Today has been a really CRAZY weather day in Cabarrus County.  We were under a tornado watch for a couple hours earlier today.  And as I type this message (4:15 pm), the skies have opened up again.  I got Kyle and his friends, and their bikes, in the garage just in time.  They are not [...]

Nice Surprise Today….

It was a nice surprise to open my on-line bank account today and see that Uncle Sam deposited $1,500.  I knew the tax rebate was coming soon, just did not think it would be today.  We are in desperate need of a new refrigerator.  My freezer has not worked in months, and everything is in [...]

Visiting Heritage

Last night, a group of ladies from GIGGLES, a couple husbands, and a bunch of kids visited the Heritage Nursing Home in Harrisburg.  Sherry had cookies to be handed out that were tied with a ribbon and a note.  It was such a wonderful experience.  I did not get to go in February, as I [...]

I tried 2 new recipes tonite from the Rocky River Community Church cookbook, and both were bit hits, to be repeated again.  One was for Crispy Salsa Chicken, the other for Baked Macaroni & Cheese…!  So, thanks to those who contributed recipes.  Looking forward to trying some others soon.
